The Skys blue at Bright Grey...
Posted: Feb 12, 2006Skyblue therapy were contacted by Howard Tighe to help him recover from the stroke he had in July 2004. Our physiotherapy sessions were paid for by Bright Grey's 'Helping Hand' service, part of the Bright Grey Critical Illness Policy Howard had taken out. He had 10 sessions with Kirsty at Skyblue Therapy to try and reduce the paralysis from the stroke; he gained so much of his movement back that Bright Grey commisioned a short film of his story and the value of the 'Helping Hand' service. As Neurological Physiotherapists we provid information on how patients can recover maximum functional potential after a stroke or other neurological illness, improving activities of daily living and promoting independence. Howard, who had a major stroke that paralysed his right hand side, allowed us to carry out a live assessment to see how far he had progressed in 18 months. He has without doubt progressed well, enough to run his business Web Rocket Design @ printing.com. In fact we asked him to brand and design our stationery and this website.
Many thanks to Bright Grey and Howard for allowing us to do this Stroke Assessment on film.
