Multiple Sclerosis MS treatment & Recovery

Physiotherapy is the best possible aid in maintaining and improving on existing mobility, suppleness and (relative) feelings of wellbeing and there is no better practical proponent of this than Kirstie Petley or one of her dedicated colleagues

Robert Johnson  Mutiple Sclerosis Group Darlington

Even if you have been newly diagnosed with Mutiple Sclerosis or MS  or have been diagnosed for some time Nuerological Physiotherapy will be of benefit to you. MS leads to a wide variety of symptoms, and different people are affected differently depending on which part of their nervous system has been affected. Many of theses symptoms can be managed through physiotherapy using an individual programme of exercise and stretches. Once assessed some MS patients find carrying out their personal programme at home relatively easy, but other MSpatients choose to have hands on therapy once every week, fortnight or month.

Once you have been assessed and undergone your initial treatment where we will teach you your personal exercise programme you can choose to have continued therapy or pursue your programme at home which ever way you want we’ll be here to support and advise you. Should you need advice due to changing circumstances or symptoms we can be contacted at any time for full discussion of your needs.

We can also spend time discussing with you the implications of your MS on your life, and point you in the direction of people who may be able to help, as we have extensive contacts with The MS Society.
